A Long Vacation

Andy is out on vacation again this week but Jason, Garrett and Bob are in studio to pick up the slack. Listen in to catch up on all the medical updates from the Pirates and Indians from Dr. Garrett. Plus, the guys dissect the Pirates playoff chances with and without Wandy Rodriguez and A.J. Burnett as well the Bucs puzzling offense. Then the talk turns to the Tribe as Bob and Jason hit on the success of Jason Kipnis, the future of Ubaldo Jimenez and Lonnie Chisenhall and touch on Scott Kazmir's strange injury shortened outing against the Orioles.

Big Red Spot Start

Tune-in to Tri-State at the Plate this week to hear the return of the Big Red Machine, Bob Finkbeiner, back in the studio to fill-in for Andy who is out on vacation. Jason and Bob talk some serious Tribe this week but they also touch on the Tigers bullpen situation, Nick Castellanos trade rumors and all the medical updates from Dr. Garrett. Stoke the Coles

On this week's episode, find out what Major League Baseball and have in common.  Dr. Garrett informs everyone of John McDonald's relocation plans.  Andy and Jason swoon over super-prospect Gerrit Cole's first start, which the Tri-State staff attended in Pittsburgh.  There's been a bit of a losing streak going on in Cleveland, and Jason explains why everyone should simmer down.  Also, Stetson Allie hits his 17th home run for West Virginia, which forces Jason to shake his head in disapproval.

Long Relief In the Shark Tank

The guys are all back in the studio this week as they discuss all the news and notes about the Indians, Pirates and SeaWolves. Dr. Garrett is back with all of the medical updates to get you up-to-speed on Chris Perez, Jeanmar Gomez, and others. Andy discusses the recent successes of "The Shark Tank" while detailing the intricacies of the Reds-Pirates rivalry. Then Jason discusses the performance of Ubaldo Jimenez and the rest of the Indians rotation and the Tribe's recent troubles with left-handed relief pitching. Finally, the guys get up on their "Soapbox" to discuss whether long relievers are making a comeback in major league bullpens.
